Active skincareActive skincare comprises key products and skincare practices aimed at addressing specific aesthetic skin concerns (hyperpigmentation, post-acne marks, age-related changes, etc.) by targeting the physiological mechanisms that govern skin function.
Active skincare should only be introduced after the skin barrier has been restored and a consistent basic skincare routine has been established, as a properly functioning skin barrier significantly reduces the risk of irritation and improves tolerance to active ingredients.
Pigment Control Serum is formulated to address hyperpigmentation by taking into account the key mechanisms involved in its development:
- Increased melanin synthesis;
- Transfer of melanosomes to keratinocytes;
- Post-inflammatory skin changes;
- Chronic exposure to ultraviolet radiation;
- Impaired skin barrier function.
Niacinamide (4%) reduces melanosome transfer, promotes a more even skin tone, and strengthens the epidermal barrier.
Tranexamic acid (2%) reduces melanogenesis activity, helps lighten hyperpigmentation, and helps prevent new dark spots from forming.
Bakuchiol promotes epidermal renewal, improves skin texture, and increases skin firmness.
Squalane and skin-compatible emollients help restore the skin’s lipid barrier and reduce moisture loss.
Trehalose and a polysaccharide complex provide long-lasting hydration and support the skin’s moisture balance.
Cannabidiol and vitamin E provide antioxidant and soothing benefits, helping protect the skin against oxidative stress.
